Qualifying practice and the initial heats have been run by the three categories OKJ, OK and MINI. A little bit of rain has made things trickier at the beginning of the weekend. Qualifying heats will continue on Saturday ahead of the final stages on Sunday, March 6th that will be available through the Live Streaming.
La Conca (ITA), 04.03.2022
The International Circuit La Conca of Muro Leccese has housed qualifying practice that kicked off the third round of the WSK Super Master Series on Friday. The penultimate round of the series is underway in the south of Italy and will be an exciting challenge among the protagonists of the categories OK, OKJ and MINI.
Pole position of OKJ to Matveev.
OKJ was the first class on track and it benefited from the dry tarmac. The pole position was set by Dmitry Matveev (Koski Motorsport/Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) in 45.059s during Session-2, while the fastest of Session-1 was Elliot Kaczynski (Ward Racing/Tony Kart-Vortex) in 45.282s and the pace setter of Session-3 was Douwe Dedecker (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) in 45.447s.
In OK Nakamura shines on the dry, Coluccio is the fastest on the rain.
In OK Kean Nakamura-Berta (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-LeCont) posted the pole position time in Session-1, 44.277s, just before rain kicked-in. In Session-2 the circuit was quite slippery due to the sudden rain and Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex) posted the best time in 1:10.554s on the home turf.
The best of MINI in the rain is Van Langendonck.
In the three sessions run by MINI, all under the rain, the fastest overall was Dries Van Langendonck (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing-Vega), who posted a 1:22.105s in Session-1. Scott Lindblom (Gamoto/EKS-TM Racing) came to the fore in Session-2 with a lap-time of 1:22.907s, while Kilian Josseron (Team Driver/KR-Iame) was the quickest of Session-3 in 1:24.184s.
The initial qualifying heats.
The initial qualifying heats took place in the afternoon of Friday. The two heats of OK were won by Kean Nakamura-Berta (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-LeCont) and Artem Severiukhin (Ward Racing/Tony Kart-Vortex).
The victory in the three heats of MINI went to Dries Van Langendonck (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing-Vega), Iacopo Martinese (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame), Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing).
In the four heats of OKJ the following drivers shared the victories: Douwe Dedecker (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex), Dmitry Matveev (Koski Motorsport/Tony Kart-Vortex), Oleksandr Bondarev (Ricky Flynn/LN-Vortex).
