ON SATURDAY 11TH JUNE, AT NIGHT, THE FINALS WITH THE POLE-SITTERS BEDRIN (RUS – TONY KART-TM 60MINI), SMOLYAR (RUS – TONY-VORTEX OK), TAOUFIK (MA – FA-VORTEX OKJ) AND PELIZZARI (I - CKR-TM KZ2).
IT IS TIME FOR THE WSK NIGHT EDITION IN ADRIA.
The activity at the Adria Karting Raceway is in full swing this weekend, with the WSK Night Edition. The single-round event on the WSK calendar arrives right in the middle of the international karting season, when the facility of Adria makes itself conspicuous for the great number of events it hosts. Last week, in fact, Adria hosted the second round of the European CIK-FIA Championship for the OK, OK Junior and KZ2 categories. This weekend it is time for the WSK Night Edition, always for the same categories of last weekend’s championship and the 60 Mini, the cadet category for drivers aged 9. There are also the five categories Mini, Junior, Senior, Super and Shifter of the Rok Cup Challenge: for these categories the event in Adria is valid. The races are run at night thanks to the powerful lighting system of the circuit, the ideal facility for such a peculiar competition.
IN SIGHT OF THE FINALS, THE 60 MINI OPENS THE PROGRAMME.
The first stage of the event started in the early afternoon on Friday 10th June with the qualifying session and the first heats. The protagonists were the OK, OK Junior, KZ2 and 60 Mini, while the Rok categories will begin on Saturday 11th. There are 56 drivers in the 60 Mini and the fastest in this initial stage was the Russian Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) with 56”201, only 89 milliseconds faster than the Italian Pietro Delli Guanti (BirelArt-TM), second. The battle between the two continued in the heat which, around midnight, saw Bedrin beating Delli Guanti again. In the following race it was the Italian Federico Cecchi who won ahead of the Chinese Han Cenyu (both on CRG-TM). On Saturday night there are four more heats in schedule, before the two Pre-finals and the Final.

PELIZZARI PERFORMS WELL IN KZ2.
The Italian Alessandro Pelizzari (CKR-TM-Vega) is the driver to beat in KZ2, after the best time he set in 47”814, ahead of the Russian Ivan Chubarov (Croc-TM). Pellizzari beat the Russian also in the first heat. Also in KZ2 there are two more heats before the Pre-final and the Final.
