The championship leaders after the first round in La Conca are ready to face the challenge with some new protagonists joining in at Sarno’s second round of the WSK Super Master Series. Over 290 drivers entered the competition marking the 20th year of WSK Promotion.

The second round of the WSK Super Master Series is set to take place at the International Circuit of Sarno, with over 290 entered drivers promising even more excitement after the successful season opener at La Conca. This event will see the return of champions seeking to solidify their position, as well as the emergence of new talent eager to leave their mark in categories ranging from the junior MINI and OKNJ classes to the highly competitive international OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories.

WSK Promotion turns 20.
Exactly 20 years ago, on February 5th, 2006, at the International Circuit La Conca, the first event organized by WSK Promotion took place, giving life to the project conceived by Luca De Donno. From that year on, the championship then called "WSK International Series" and developed over four rounds (La Conca, Lonato, Mariembourg and Jesolo) kicked off the fantastic journey that, from 2006 to 2024, has seen WSK karting accumulate a total of 170 events with 34,345 participants.
Already in 2006, there were the first champions who contributed to creating the current pathway from WSK to the pinnacle of motorsport and Formula 1. The champions of 2006 were Valtteri Bottas in the 100 Formula A, the late Jules Bianchi in the 125 ICC, Will Stevens in the 100 ICA Junior, and Miquel Julia Perello in the 100 ICA. Remarkably, out of the 20 drivers on the Formula 1 grid today, 15 have come through the WSK series

The situation after the first round of 2025.
The focus in Sarno will be on the numerous champions competing at the International Circuit Napoli. They will aim to prevail in this second challenge of the year, as well as the many emerging drivers determined to leave their mark in their respective categories, from the junior MINI and OKNJ classes to the highly competitive international OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories.

MINI U10 – Teammates Bergman and Godschalk lead the way.
The American driver Josh Bergman (#563 Kidix/KR-Iame-Vega) has taken the lead in the MINI Gr.3 Under 10 category thanks to his victory in the final at La Conca. He is followed closely by his teammate, the Caribbean driver Wynn Godschalk, who had previously won the Prefinal. The Polish driver David Aagten (Team Driver/KR-Iame) is in third place, followed by the French Amine Pantoli (LA Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart) who made a strong recovery, and the Moroccan driver Nahyl El Gahoudi (Kidix/KR-Iame). Notably, the son of Formula 1 champion Kimi Raikkonen, Robin Raikkonen, is also competing in this category.

MINI Gr.3 - Perico makes a strong start.
Niccolò Perico, driving for Team Driver on a KR-Iame-Vega, has quickly established himself at the top of the MINI Gr.3 standings. His victories in the Final and Prefinal-B at La Conca, following a strong recovery from qualifying, have given him a significant points advantage. He is followed by his fellow countryman Achille Rea (CRG Racing Team/T-Group/TM Kart), who secured pole position in qualifying, Alessandro Nanni (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) who won the Prefinal-B, and Antonio Ianni (CRG Racing Team/T-Group/TM Kart). The Portuguese driver Lazaro Xavier (DR/DR-TM Kart) is in fifth place, having also recovered from qualifying.
MINI Gr.3 Championship standings: 1. Perico (ITA) points 89; 2. Rea 56; 3. Nanni 48; 4. Ianni 33; 5. Xavier 29.

OKNJ – Palacio takes all.
Lucas Palacio (#711 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega) has taken a commanding lead in the OKNJ category with a perfect performance at La Conca. With a maximum score of 90 points, thanks to the best qualifying position and victories in both the Prefinal and Final, the American driver has established himself at the top of the championship. The French driver Teo Policand (Victorylane/KR-Iame) recovered well from a retirement in the Prefinal to secure second place in the Final and second place in the championship. His fellow countryman, Many Nuvolini (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), has also had a strong weekend and is currently third in the championship. Gioele Girardello (Modena Kart/Parolin-TM Kart) has impressed with a strong recovery from qualifying and finished fourth in the championship, just behind Michele Orlando (DR/DR-Modena Engines) in a photo finish. Orlando is currently sixth in the standings, behind the Ukrainian driver Nikita Botte (Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE).
OKNJ Championship standings: 1. Palacio (USA) points 90; 2. Policand Teo (FRA) 38; 3. Nuvolini (FRA) 37; 4. Girardello 30; 5. Botte (UKR) 26.

OKJ – McGaughy takes the victory.
In the OKJ category, the victory in the Final at La Conca went to Michael McGaughy (#344 Koski Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega). This result propelled the American driver to the top of the championship with 67 points. The British driver Noah Baglin (Prema Racing/KR-Iame), who had initially crossed the finish line first but was penalized one position, had to settle for second place in the standings. The Canadian Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex), winner of the Prefinal-A, secured third place in the championship. The Dutch driver Dean Hoogendoorn (Prema Racing/KR-Iame), who won the Prefinal-B, finished fourth. All four drivers are closely grouped together in the points standings. The Italian driver Valerio Viapiana (Team Driver/KR-Iame) rounded out the top five.
OKJ Championship standings: 1. McGaughy (USA) points 67; 2. Baglin 55; 3. Crisan 55; 4. Hoogendoorn 47; 5. Viapiana 37.

OK – Drummond is in the lead.
The victory in the Final at La Conca secured the top spot in the championship for the Scottish driver Zac Drummond (#230 Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame-LeCont) with 67 points. The Belgian driver Dries Van Langendonck (Prema Racing/KR-Iame), who had excelled in qualifying and the Prefinal-A, is in second place. With a second-place finish in the Final, the Spaniard Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart) claimed third place in the championship, followed closely by just one point by the Italian driver Iacopo Martinese (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), who won the Prefinal-B. The British driver Zac Green (DPK Racing/KR-Iame) is fifth in the standings.
OK Championship standings: 1. Drummond (GBR) points 67; 2. Van Langendonck (BEL) 60; 3. Costoya (ESP) 48; 4. Martinese 47; 5. Green 41.

KZ2 – Stan Pex, the big expert.
The experienced and talented Stan Pex (#113 KR-TM Kart-Vega) did not miss the opportunity to win the final race of the first round of the season. At La Conca, the Dutch driver executed a perfect final after his teammate, the Dutch champion Senna Van Walstijn (CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart), had set the fastest time in qualifying. The French driver Matteo Spirgel, who had also shown great promise, had won the Prefinal, finishing ahead of Giuseppe Palomba (Maranello Kart/Maranello-TM Kart) and Stan Pex. However, in the Final, Pex's pace was relentless, securing victory over the ever-impressive Marjin Kremers (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex) and Spirgel. In the championship standings, Pex leads with 69 points, followed by Spirgel, Kremers, Palomba, and Van Walstijn.
KZ2 Championship standings: 1. Pex (NLD) points 69; 2. Spirgel (FRA) 60; 3. Kremers (NLD) 38; 4. Palomba (ITA) 34; 5. Van Walstijn 26.
