The pole position went to Pasquali (MNINI U10), Nanni (MINI GR.3), Blandino (OK-NJ), Walz (OKJ), Kamyab (OK) and Hiltbrand (KZ2).

The fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series has kicked off at the Franciacorta Karting Track, which once again features an extraordinary turnout of drivers, a good 405 verified out of the 419 registered, and a further record of attendance that gratifies this 20th year of WSK Promotion after the 401 drivers present at the last round in Lonato.

Ready for an exciting finale.
The participation in this event is among other things marked by a strong internationality, with drivers coming from all over the world and the participation of all the major manufacturers and the most important teams, for a final phase of the championship exciting and still open to every result, thanks also to the higher score up for grabs both in this fourth round and in the conclusive one next week at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo.

Meanwhile, the start of the Franciacorta weekend was given by the qualifying sessions on Friday, March 7th with the awarding of the new WSK Pole Position Trophies to the authors of the best times in all categories, from the crowded youth MINI Under 10 and Gr.3, to the national category OK-N Junior and the more performing direct-drive OKJ and OK, up to the most powerful KZ2 with gears. The new prestigious Pole Position Trophies were won by Pasquali (MINI U10), Nanni (MINI Gr.3), Blandino (OK-NJ), Walz (OKJ), Kamyab (OK) and Hiltbrand (KZ2).

KZ2 - Hiltbrand surprises.
In KZ2, the surprising Pedro Hiltbrand (#126 BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart-Vega) achieved the first pole position of the day, in Session-1 and also overall. The Spanish driver preceded Max Orlov (CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart) by 90 thousandths and the Swedish Viktor Gustafsson (CRG Racing Team/CRG-TM Kart) by 0.141s. Fourth fastest time for the points leader, the Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn (CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart) at 0.158s. In Session-2, the fastest was Cristian Bertuca (BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart) in 45.57s. The Italian driver, second in the championship, preceded his young compatriot and teammate Samuele Leopardi by 27 thousandths. In Session-3, the Romanian Daniel Vasile (CL Racing Team/BirelART-TM Kart) stood out with the best time in 45.689s, prooceeding Stan Pex (SP Motorsport/KR-TM Kart) by 0.081s.

OKJ - Devin Walz sets the fastest time.
In OKJ, it was necessary to wait for the third Session to know the author of the absolute pole position of the category. The American Devin Walz (#311 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega) prevailed with a time of 47.559s and 0.206s advantage over the Slovak Alex Molota (Hagemann Racing/Exprit-TM Kart). In Session-1, the Swedish Greger Kallas (Kallas/Tony Kart-TM Kart) had surprised with the best time in 48.031s, which was 0.077s faster than the time set by the Englishman Noah Baglin (Prema Racing/KR-Iame). The points leader, the Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn (Prema Racing/KR-Iame), was the fastest in Session-2 with a time of 47.778s, with 59 thousandths of a second over the Canadian Ilie Crisan Tristan (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex).

OKNJ - Blandino shines.
Excellent performance in the OK-NJ by the young Cristian Blandino, competing with the Greek team GSR on LN Kart-Iame-Vega, best time in Session-1 and also overall with 48.361s. The points leader, the American Lucas Palacio (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), came closest to the Italian driver, stopping the chronometers just two thousandths from Blandino. Third fastest time for the Lithuanian Nojus Stasionis (Modena Kart/Parolin-TYM Kart) at 59 thousandths. In Session-2, the other Italian Michele Orlando (DR/DR-Modena Engines) prevailed in 48.452s. He preceded the Ukrainian Vsevlod Osadcyi-Suslovsky (Monster K Factory Team/Monster K-TM Kart) by 0.112s and the Canadian Rocco Simone (Kidix Driver/KR-Modena Engines) by 0.151s. The winner of the last round in Lonato, the American Nicola Stanley (MP Academy Gamoto/Henza Kart-TM Kart), ended up behind instead.

MINI U10 - Pasquali ahead of the Godschalk-Bergman pair.
In the only session of the MINI Under 10, the Italian Daniel Pasquali (#550 CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart-Vega) earned a nice satisfaction who with a time of 54.114s managed to do better than the pair of drivers from the Kidix team on KR-Iame, the Caribbean Wynn Godschalk and the points leader, the American Josh Bergman, both incredibly with the same gap from Pasquali: 0.042s. The fourth fastest time at 0.150s from the poleman was set by the Moroccan Nahyl El Gahoudi (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) who proceeded the American Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) by just 0.007s.

MINI GR.3 - Nanni takes the pole position.
The two main protagonists of the MINI Gr.3 challenged each other in the first qualifying session, with the Portuguese championship leader Xavier Lazaro (DR/DR-TM Kart-Vega) author of the best performance in 53.508s, and the Italian Niccolò Perico (Team Driver/KR-Iame), second in the championship, with the second fastest time at 0.268s. But even faster was the Italian Alessandro Nanni (#504 BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) who posted a time of 53.503 in Session-2 and earned the pole position with a margin of 5 thousandths. Nanni’s two teammates, the Scottish Mason Robertson and the French Stan Ratajski, ended behind him.

OK - Kamyab is the fastest.
In the OK category, the pole position time was set in Session-3, with the best time achieved by the Englishman Roman Kamyab (#227 Ricky Flynn Motorsport/LN Kart-TM Kart-LeCont) in 46.154s ahead of the Maltese Jacob Micallef (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) at 75 thousandths and the Italian Filippo Sala (Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kartt) at 81 thousandths. In Session-1, the fastest was the Polish Borys Lyzen (KRZ Motorsport/KR-TM Kart) in 46.305s. He proceeded the Italian Iacopo Martinese (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) by 0.036s and the Spaniard Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart) by 0.047s. In Session-2, the Czech Jindrich Pesl (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex) stood out with the best time in 46.165s, which was 0.062s clear of the time set by the points leader, the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck (Prema Racing/KR-Iame), and 0.083s over the Italian Davide Bottaro (CRG Racing Team/CRG-TM Kart).

The program.
After the qualifying sessions, the first day concludes with the first qualifying heats. More heats will follow on Saturday while the final phase will be on Sunday, March 9th.
