SPRINT FINAL FOR THE WSK EURO SERIES, LIVE ON THE INTERNET. The double final 1 on the International Circuit Napoli of Sarno is over and the gaps in the KZ1 and KZ2 standings are now narrower. There were unexpected results in both the categories, results rather unpredictable before this race of the WSK Euro Series on the Southern Italian racetrack. The championship is at its last but one round - the last one is on schedule on next 2nd June, in Genk (Belgium) - but it is still impossible making a sure bet on the drivers who will win in the final classification. Today's races were the blatant proof - images of the races are available following the link http://www.wskarting.it/live_streaming.asp?s=WSK_Euro - of how the pack of drivers pursuing the current leaders are closing the gap.
HANLEY AHEAD IN KZ1. Despite the positions in the race were rather steady, the English Ben Hanley (ART GP-TM-Bridgestone), winner of the KZ1 Final 1, and his most dangerous rival, the Dutch Bas Lammers (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone) kept on fighting throughout the race. Lammers, eventually, finished second. Hanley managed to keep him at bay and, finally, achieved a crucial victory for the season. In fact, the current leader, the Dutch Max Verstappen (CRG-TM-Bridgestone) had to recover from the initial sixth position to the final third position. Lammers now plays a major role in the final sprint between the two favourite drivers.
NEGRO CONFIRMS HIMSELF IN KZ2. Riccardo Negro (DR-TM-Bridgestone) is the other driver who is achieving a remarkable recovery, this time in the KZ2 category. The Italian driver had to fight hard only during the first laps to get the leadership. In fact, at the start the lead was taken by the Italian Luigi Di Poto (Rossokorsa-TM-Bridgestone), who was later hit by a penalty for jump start. Also the Czech Jan Midrla (Birel-TM-Bridgestone) tried to take over the lead before Negro got and kept it until the end of the race. The current leader of the standings, Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM), was obliged to start from the 12th position; he managed to recover as far as 6th, but now his lead over Negro is much narrower.
MAINI CLINCHES THE POLE IN THE 60 MINI. The Indian Kush Maini (Tony Kart-LKE-Le Cont) confirmed his bid for victory and clinched the pole position of the 60 Mini. Between him and the Spanish Eliseo Martinez (Hero-LKE-Le Cont), the current leader of the standings, there's the win of the WSK Euro Series at stake. In fact, this is the last round of the category. Tomorrow the final. In the Pre-final, Martinez will start next to Maini: the race is going to be thrilling from the beginning until the end.
KODRIC IS THE FAVOURITE IN KF. The Croatian Martin Kodric (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) arrives at tomorrow's final phase after winning three heats today. His most dangerous rival is the French Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega), who won twice.
PULCINI THE POLEMAN IN KF JUNIOR. Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) clinched the pole in the Pre-final A of the KF Junior. He won three of the four heats run today. The English Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) is the pole-man in Pre-final B.
