STARTING GRIDS
READY FOR THE HEATS OF THE WSK.
The first times have been set at the WSK Master Series taking place in
Precenicco (Udine - Italy), during a summerlike day. On the International
Circuit Friuli Venezia Giulia the temperature reached 23 C degrees, and the
set-ups of karts had that temperature as a reference point. There are four
categories racing in the event: KZ2, KF, KF Junior and 60 Mini. The first part
of today's programme was dedicated to qualifying: this phase of the race
establishes the starting grids of the heats. The peak was reached with the
Superpole, reserved to the top 12 drivers of the KF and KFJ categories after
the first session of qualifying.

BOCCOLACCI
ACHIEVES SUPERPOLE IN KF.
During the first two
qualifying sessions, the most remarkable times were set by the British Ben
Barnicoat (ART GP-TM-Vega) and the French Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega). The
latter confirmed his excellent performance in the Superpole, where he was again
the fastest thanks to his 46”662. On this occasion, Barnicoat did not manage to
remain close to his rival: in fact, he finished third, just behind the Croatian
Martin Kodric (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega). The fourth position went to the Russian
Egor Stupenkov (Energy-TM-Vega).

THOMPSON IN
SUPERPOLE IN KF JUNIOR
. At the beginning,
it seemed that only Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and the British
Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) could have been battling for the Superpole. They
were the fastest in their qualifying sessions. But, eventually, the Canadian Parker
Thompson (Energy-TM-Vega), who didn't set remarkable times during the first
part of the day, rocketed himself in first position during the last session of
the Superpole and set an excellent 47”800. Ahmed, 6 milliseconds behind, was
second followed by his fellow countrymen and teammates Daniel Ticktum and Lando
Norris.
Pulcini,
on the other hand, finished fifth.

VERSTAPPEN
STILL ON TOP IN KZ2.
The Dutch Max
Verstappen (CRG-TM-Bridgestone), launched towards the KZ2 championship, made
things easier for him this morning when he clinched the pole thanks to his 46”175.
His closest competitor for the championship, the Italian Riccardo Negro
(DR-TM-Bridgestone), was only fourth. Ahead of him the Czech Patrik Hajek
(Praga-Parilla-Bridgestone) Charles Leclerc (ART GP-TM-Bridgestone) from Monaco.

MARSEGLIA THE FASTEST IN 60 MINI. The Italian Leonardo Marseglia (Top Kart-Parilla-Le Cont), the fastest  today  in
qualifying  with  his 54”012,  is another
driver who can
battle for the championship. He joined the Indian Kush Maini (Tony Kart-LKE-Le
Cont) and the Spanish Eliseo Martinez (Hero-LKE-Le Cont), who currently occupy
the first two places of the standings. Martinez set the second time preceding
the two Swiss drivers Lucas Legeret (Tony Kart-LKE-Le Cont) and Robin Furrer
(Top Kart-LKE-Le Cont). Maini was a bit slower and finished only 9th.
